Aid project: "Help for children with disabilities"

“Let's help make wishes come true.”

The Klagenfurt Children’s Palliative Team brought to our attention the special case of Elias P., who found immediate support in our club.

Elias was born in Sankt Veit an der Glan in 2006. There were massive problems for the little boy at birth, and shortly thereafter he was diagnosed with Hallermann-Streiff syndrome.
The Hallermann-Streiff syndrome (also known as bird-face syndrome) is a rare genetic syndrome characterized mainly by head and facial anomalies such as bird-like facies, small mandible, unusual head shape with prominent forehead, dental malformations (e.g. toothlessness, natal teeth, supernumerary teeth, etc.). Various eye diseases (e.g. congenital cataracts, small eyeballs, rapid eye movements) and skin retractions (especially around the face and center of the nose) as well as dwarfism are also effects of this disease.

Worldwide, about 150 cases have been described.

Elias has already had to undergo a large number of operations.

Despite all his physical difficulties, Elias is a very social and lovable young man. He is communicative, friendly, patient and honest.

Elias’ wish
Elias is bound to a wheelchair and needs support to remain mobile as a 19-year-old. For this reason, he wholeheartedly wishes for a wheelchair power assist, which can safely get him through his everyday life.
This costs about €9,500, which we as a club would like to provide. The corresponding equipment has already been ordered.

Please help us to raise the necessary financial resources for this and donate to:
