Charter Celebration

On June 11, 2022, approximately 50 guests gathered at the Karnburg winery to officially charter the Rotary Club,
“RC Carinthia Connect,” which was newly founded on October 24, 2021.

What is special about this club: “Our club offers Carinthians who live in other federal states or even abroad the opportunity to be a member of a Carinthian Rotary Club. Such an international club exists only once in the district so far, namely in Vienna,” says the founding president Patrick Schliefnig, who comes from Wolfsberg.

The 20 founding members were now officially accepted into Rotary International by means of this traditional event and were presented with the founding certificate by District Governor Leo Steiner.

In the course of this founding celebration, a considerable amount of donations could be collected by means of a raffle. We thank all sponsors and donors.

On the Pyramidenkogel

The observation tower on the Pyramidenkogel adorns our club logo and was also the focus of a joint excursion. Markus Klaura, the architect of the tower, informed us about the construction, and the breathtaking view and the wonderful weather made our excursion an unforgettable experience. After climbing the 441 steps, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the Höhenwirt – a perfect end to our excursion. A special highlight of the day was the ceremonial handover of the presidency. Kornelia Kaltenhauser handed over the office with much heart and gratitude to Berndt Triebel, who will lead our community into the year 2025 with fresh energy and new ideas. Kornelia also warmly welcomed our new member Karl Kaltenhauser into our group.

Villach Carnival

If you have a real carnival expert, like Kuno Kunz, in your ranks, then a visit to the Villach Carnival is almost a must.

Nora's Summersplash

A now beloved event is Nora’s Summersplash in her boathouse on Lake Wörthersee. In addition to culinary delights and many good conversations, the lake was of course the focus.

Oktoberfest

Our Jutta invites us to her very own Oktoberfest every year. With good music and excellent food, we enjoy beautiful hours and make plans for our club.
